Uighurs in Beijing say police look at them suspiciously after a deadly car attack in Tiananmen Square that authorities blamed on Islamist militants.

BEIJING — At a restaurant with an arbor of green plastic grape leaves out front and a grill inside for skewers of roast lamb, police have been popping in regularly the last two days to check residency documents of ethnic Uighurs.

The online travel industry in Saudi Arabia is developing at a rapid rate with online bookings expected to exceed $1.9bn in 2014, according to Travelport co-sponsored research. According to the study – carried out by global travel market research company PhoCusWright – web sales in Saudi Arabia are forecasted to nearly double since 2011, when the online travel sector was valued at $1bn.

BEIJING — More than 48 hours after a car mowed down pedestrians and burst into flames at Beijing's Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government broke its near-silence on the incident and characterized it as a "terrorist attack."
